2022 Santa Cruz Bronson 4

The saying goes, “If in doubt, take a Bronson out.”

We couldn’t agree more, especially with the types of mountain biking we have around Harrisonburg, VA.

The Bronson 4 comes with a mixed wheelset - 29” up front, 27.5” in the back. A mullet build, if you will. It gets the business done while still letting you party! We’ve been very impressed by it’s maneuverability, pedaling efficiency, and confidence-inspiring handling.

This particular model is the Carbon C R, and is $5,049.

The suspension travel is 160 / 150, with a RockShox Lyric Select Fork and FOX Float X Performance Shock. This setup allows for big hits to not hit so hard and control to be maintained through bumpier terrain. And when it comes time to climb, the VPP™ (Virtual Pivot Point) suspension design makes heading uphill a breeze.

The brakes and drivetrain are SRAM - G2 R brakes, NX Eagle shifter/10-50 cassette, derailleur, chain, and a Descendent crankset with a 32 tooth chainring. The wheels are SRAM MTH hubs built to RaceFace AR Offset rims with an internal width of 30mm. 2.6” Maxxis Minion tires finish off the wheelset to offer that max grip and durability through rough rocks and dirt. This is a super reliable component setup and offers ease in maintenance of the bike.

We are so stoked this bike was the first Santa Cruz to come to Rocktown, and we are very excited for more to arrive!
